Suffering from smaller paint flaking and paint loss in a few areas, also indentation of the canvas probably caused by not storing in an ideal condition.
The painting first needed good consolidation, after that treatment it was necessary to do a good cleaning process considering there were obvious signs of grime and old yellow and unevenly applied varnish.
Filling the damaged paint and ground layer with a putty and retouching the paint loss areas was the next step provided and then the new varnish was applied as the final touch which gave the fresh and clean look to the painting in the end.
